Federico Di Pila

Fede Di Pila (born in 1986 in Morón, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina)

He studied at the Manuel Belgrano School of Fine Arts, where he earned a degree as a certified teacher of drawing and painting, and took comic book classes at Fernando Calvi’s private studio. In 2015, he co-founded, along with other authors, the anthology Telecomis, which has seven issues to its credit; he is a founding partner of the Estudio Mafia publishing house, which specializes in handmade books printed using risography, where he has served as editor and designer from 2016 to the present. As a full-fledged author, he has published the following books: Perfecto Bandido (self-published, 2014), Chuño (Hotel de las ideas, 2015), Agus y el teatro de los fantasmas (Mamut comics, 2022); Basura pendiente (2022, WebComicMutante); Kuno, with a script by Joni Crenovich (Capsula Ediciones, 2023); Cosas que decimos a cada rato, with texts by Nicolás Schuff (Sudamericana, 2024); Crónicas del bombardeo, with a script by Emiliano Maitía (2025, Hotel de las Ideas). He contribute to anthologies such as Fierro magazine (Argentina); Estrellita mía (Chile); Capisci (Argentina), among others. He currently teach comic workshops and seminars and help organize the events Distrito Comix, Hoy viñetas, and FAH!
