Maxi Barattero

Maximiliano Barattero was born in 1980 in Gálvez, Santa Fe province, Argentina. In his childhood he already shows an aptitude for drawing. Self-taught, he already made his first portraits at the age of fourteen. An intense stage of experimentation will later lead him to mastery of the different pictorial media. Graphite, watercolor, pastel, sanguine, oil, ink, colored pencils, mixed techniques, all of them are used to capture the most diverse subjects: portraits, landscapes, nudes, illustrations, etc. Fellow of the Antorchas Foundation in 2002 for the Work Clinic held at the "Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez" Provincial Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe, and winner of the 1st International Prize "Conjugating the Arts" organized by Editorial Novelarte of Córdoba in 2004, today Maximiliano Barattero lives and works in the city of Rosario, Argentina.
